I have grown up with it and was super upset when my parents moved us to Mesa in the early 90's. I would take every opportunity to take a trip to Tucson to get my fix. Finally, one opened up down the street from me in Gilbert Arizona. The sandwiches are fresh and heavenly. Of the Eegees locations, this is the most consistently good one we've experienced. Our order is always correct and the staff is generally really kind. The sandwich ingredients here also seem to be better quality than other locations, which seem to have declined lately in terms of the deli meats used. The Sonoran Desert is hot… And Tucson in September of ‘71 was no exception.
